Our Story

Tampico Family Mexican Restaurant opened its doors in 2022 on Main Street in Bedford, Iowa — and it's been a labor of love ever since.

We're a family-owned and operated restaurant rooted in the traditions of authentic Mexican cooking. Every dish we serve is made fresh daily, using high-quality ingredients sourced right here in Iowa. From the moment you walk in, our goal is simple: make you feel at home.

Our menu features traditional favorites with a signature touch. Guests keep coming back for our famous Cuervo Gold Fajitas — sizzling, flavorful, and unlike anything else in the area — and our Super Nachos, piled high and made to share. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, we put the same care into every plate.
